30th Annual Spring Symposium

Emerging Trends in Critical Care Nursing

January 29, 2012

Dear Corporate Friend of the Greater St. Louis Chapter of AACN:

The Greater St. Louis Chapter of AACN is pleased to announce the 30th Annual Spring Symposium to be held March 21 and 22, 2012 at the Sheraton Clayton Plaza Hotel, Clayton, Missouri.

This annual event focuses on the presentation of current issues, new therapies, and cutting edge technologies that impact the world of critical care nursing.   Nurses who work “on the front lines” have an opportunity to update their knowledge base and learn how your products are used in best practice scenarios.

Each year, many registered nurses, respiratory therapists and critical care nursing professionals from the St. Louis metropolitan, bi-state area and six surrounding states attended the symposium.

The two-day educational symposium held every spring is the highlight of the year's events for the chapter. As always, the participation of medical equipment and supply companies, pharmaceutical companies, hospital recruiters, professional organizations, and staffing agencies is an integral part of the program's success.  Corporate representation at this event is vital to the exchange of information between the industry vendors and the healthcare professionals attending.

Please refer to the enclosed contract that describes the options for corporate display space in the Exhibit Hall during this event.  At the close of lectures on Wednesday, March 21st, the Exhibit Hall will open with a cocktail reception from 3:45 to 5:45 p.m. Exhibit hours will resume on Thursday, March 22nd during registration between 7:30-8:00 a.m. and continue during an extended morning break from 10:30-11:30 a.m.

Additional opportunities for your company to collaborate with the Greater St. Louis Chapter of AACN during this event include:

  • sponsorship of the opening day wine and cheese reception
  • sponsorship of printing/mailing costs for the program brochure mailed to over 3500 members
  • sponsorship of the program binders given to participants and speakers attending the  two-day event
  • donations in the form of gift baskets and items for attendance prizes

In exchange for supporting activities such as printing or food services, your company will receive special recognition at the event and in the Chapter publications. If you have suggestions for other ways in which you would like to participate, we want to hear them!  The Chapter is always interested in new ideas that have the potential to be mutually beneficial.

Your prompt response confirming your company’s interest in supporting the March 2012 symposium would be appreciated. We encourage you to use our on-line registration and payment processing as the preferred method of registration and payment. Please inform us at your earliest knowledge of the need for educational grants to be submitted and processed for your company’s sponsorship. This will allow for a greater approval rate and a successful program for you to participate in.  Prior to the event you will receive instructions on set-up times, accessing the Exhibit Hall, and a professionally designed and printed brochure of the program and schedule.

We would also like to take this opportunity to invite you and your colleagues to join us immediately following the cocktail reception for a celebratory dinner.  2012 represents the 40th anniversary of the chapter and the 30th annual Emerging trends in Critical Care Nursing spring symposium.  Your support of the Greater St. Louis Chapter of AACN has been critical throughout these 40 years.  You are welcome to join us to celebrate these milestones and to continue networking with the attendees through the evening. If you plan on attending the dinner please include the fee with your signed contract and payment of fees.

We look forward to your response! Please contact one of us by phone or e-mail for further assistance.  During normal business hours we can be reached through our office or by pager at the numbers listed below.

Sincerely,
