Cardiac Surgery (CSC®) sub-specialty certification is for nurses who already have a nationally accredited clinical nursing specialty certification (such as CCRN, PCCN, CCNS or ACNPC) and who subspecialize in the care of cardiac surgery patients (within the first 48 hours post-operatively). Clinical settings may include, but are not limited to: Cardiac Surgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Cardiovascular Surgery and Post-Anesthesia Recovery Units.
