Point Scholarship
Earn “points” for your active involvement in the local chapter (i.e. committee participation at local or national level, writing articles for the newsletter, volunteering at the national level, recruiting new local chapter members, attending local chapter and national AACN programs, attending other CEU programs, certifications, etc.) and then complete the scholarship application by May 31, 2008. We have over $2,000 to be awarded to attend educational programs and promote professional certifications/advanced degrees!!!
Determination of the $$ value of the points are decided on by the Board of Directors annually, based on income from the Silent Auction, and a percentage of the income from the educational programs that year. Recipients will be able to submit for reimbursement of expenses related to educational programs, national or local AACN dues, professional journals/books, certification fees or tuition, up to the level of their acquired Point Scholarship $$.

Feb 1 Clinical Excellence Award
Nominate a peer who exhibits critical care clinical excellence. Local chapter membership
not necessary.
Feb 1 President’s Award for Outstanding Leadership
Nominate a peer who has made outstanding contributions to the chapter.
May 31 Member of the Year Award
Based on contributions to the growth, development, and success of the chapter, and verified by “point”
accrual
May 31 Chapter Point System Scholarship
Earn points based on involvement in professional activities and certifications, and involvement in local or
national AACN.
